New Book Release: “While Uncle Sam Slept” by John L. Failla

Grand News Network | July 13, 2024

United States, 13th Jul 2024, King NewsWire - John L. Failla’s recent work, “While Uncle Sam Slept,” explores a daring and thought-provoking world in which the US is split into two independent countries: one conservative and one liberal. This political thriller, filled with covert operations and military strategy, explores the extreme measures taken by a group of senior military leaders to accomplish this separation.

A Bold Plan for a Divided Nation

“While Uncle Sam Slept” follows two members of the recently established Confederation of States, Major Blake Vanderpump and Colonel Booth Skagway, as they utilize their military rank and level of security clearance to carry out a covert mission. The Confederation’s goal was to take over vital military installations in 24 conservative states and keep them isolated from the rest of the nation. They feel that this drastic action is required to protect a way of life.

A Plot Three Years in the Making

This covert organization carefully prepared its military expansion over the space of three and a half years with the goal of disrupting the Pentagon’s communications and declaring the new Confederation’s authority. On August 31, military leaders around the country witnessed the division of the United States and the installation of a new order, setting off a dramatic scene that serves as the story’s finale.

About the Author

John L. Failla was raised in Omaha, Nebraska. John has been a Registered land surveyor in eight states and has had considerable experience working with the Corps of Engineers along with most of the fast food franchises throughout the Midwest. John also plays the part of “expert witness” for several companies with his most memorable client, Melvin Belli.

Mr. Failla’s vast collection of pre-revolutionary war land survey collection has been noted as a top shelf in the industry. One of his prized surveys is from 1748/9 by George Hume and George Washington of 8000 acres just south of Winchester, Virginia.

He’s planning on selling that original very soon.

Mr. Failla’s fifty years of surveying and writing legal descriptions have helped him measurably by keeping a reader from wandering onto the adjoining lot.
